Spring 2022 Biannual Member Meeting

Description

Our Spring 2022 Biannual Member Meeting will take place over five days, from March 21-25.

Practicing our cat cow’s, we’re stretching our biannual member meeting for a whole week. Flexing our adaptive capacity building skills, we’re embracing complexity and shaping our meeting as a series of small experiments with the same goal of sharing knowledge and bringing our members together. Register here to be notified of the upcoming events throughout our week long activation of our members and member locations.

Commercial ventures are surging investment in live and digital immersive entertainment. How can the nonprofit arts and culture sector keep up? • Historical perspective on immersive technologies
  • Theoretical underpinnings of the transition from mental immersion to sensory immersion, and from Web 2.0 to Web 3.0
  • Commercial sector adoption of immersive experiences, in fashion, theme parks, public art and real estate development
  • Adoption of immersive formats in the museum field (nonprofit and commercial), and what’s coming post-Van Gogh
  • Immersive practices in the performing arts, live and digital

Thursday, 1:00-3:00pm
Grab a coffee on us!
We’re partnering with three local coffee shops who are helping us encourage our members to take a coffee or tea break and have the opportunity to bump into each other or CultureSource staff! CultureSource members can stop by, meet up with a friend or two, and get a cup of coffee on us! On Thursday from 1 – 3 p.m., our members can visit lab in Ann Arbor, Narrow Way Cafe in Detroit, and Alley Cat Cafe in Pontiac, for a quick coffee to go or longer break to share with another CultureSource member! Once registered, we’ll send along a special phrase to mention to the barista for a free coffee.
