Cultural Competency
Race, Bodies, and Gender in the Workplace, with Team Dynamics

As we work to create equitable organizations, this 3-session series for managers explores the challenges of creating an inclusive workplace and provides support in building skills, practicing application, and making change. Team Dynamics and CultureSource surveyed arts leaders and administrators in Southeast Michigan to design a program that meets the specific needs of our region's cultural organizations. Programming will include virtual convening, networking, knowledge sharing, and organizaitonal action plans that participants can work to implement during the course of the program–Providing updates and getting feedback along the way. 

The program will take place over three days:

• Tuesday, September 28
• Thursday, October 28
• Wednesday, November 17

Sessions will focus on what cultural competency and equity means, and how to use these learnings to shift organizational culture. Assignments between sessions will help you with experimentation and assimilation, and throughout cohort members can offer mutual support and swap ideas to seed long-term impacts.
